Lyu Masuda was born and raised in New Zealand where he started Latin American and Ballroom dancing at the age of 10. He fell in Love with it and since starting his competitive career has represented both New Zealand and Australia at various World Championships around the globe. He holds the title of both Junior and Under 21 Australian and New Zealand Latin American Champion and has been a finalist in all major Australian Nation Latin American Championships. More recently he has also appeared on Australian TV Series ‘Dancing with the Stars’ as one of the Pro Dancers/ Choreographers.

Lyu has also had a successful modelling career since the age of 16, working with some of the top designers across the world. He has spent the past 2 years working as a Model and DJ in Melbourne, Australia and loves everything to do with Music and Dance.

He is very excited to be joining the amazing cast of Burn the Floor in 2022 and looks forward to the future.
